Doomsday Blue Selected as Irish Entry

Irish singer Bambie Thug has been announced as the winner of The Late Late Show Eurosong Special and will represent Ireland at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden. Thug's song, "Doomsday Blue," was selected by a combination of public votes and a jury panel.

"I'm so excited and honored to represent Ireland at Eurovision," said Thug. "I've been a fan of the contest since I was a child, and it's a dream come true to be able to perform on the world stage." The Eurovision Song Contest is organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and is one of the most popular annual television events worldwide. Ireland is one of the most successful countries in the contest's history, having won seven times, most recently in 1996.
